Personal project: Fire and spirits
Techniche: Selfportrait photography printed on matte paper and hand embroidered with cotton thread and wool.
- This serie is based on the idea that there is a mysterious and powerful energy within the body that produces a movement from the inside out, that is, an energy that seeks to be externalised. This is vital energy.
In a way, it is the inner fire that seeks to come out, the identity that seeks itself and expresses itself. This series renders an image of that force: it will be fire, lava or the spirits that inhabit it. Just as in volcanoes it is impossible to stop the lava, in the search for one's humanity there is no interference possible. This series is the story of an inner quest and of a voluntary and powerful outburst.
